SHRIMP BUCKET

Eat the best seafood in town with a kick!

This restaurant is best for a group of people catching up and chillin' . They spiced up shrimp, mussels, and crab by having their special sauce.

Branches :
  • UP Town Center
  • Taguig
  • Il Terrazo Mall
 FAVORITE SPECIAL SAUCES :
  1. The Mardi Gras
Pork sausage with a kick. Best with mussels & crab!! Partner it with plain rice. It's tasty and delicious.

  2. Salty Eggsperience

Mashed Salted egg. this sauce is best with shrimp! never forget to order coke for your drinks. Cause it's better with soft drinks too. and of course plain rice!

When they serve it, it's placed in a big transparent plastic in a bucket. Isn't it cool. They taught of how they will present their food. Since me and my family love seafood, we go here often too. Seafood is fresh it doesn't have an after taste. Whooo. Better try this restaurant and you might forget your name.

EUROPEAN-FILIPINO INSPIRED DISHES

Croque is pronounced as "Krohk" from the word "croquer" which means CRUNCH in French as it was mentioned in their website.

Location :  833, Dominion Building, Arnaiz Ave, Makati, 1223 Metro Manila

One of the best European fushion restaurant I have tasted. It's more of a fine dining restaurant cause it takes 15 minutes for each food to be served. Since I have Saturday classes, my mom and I tried this restaurant one Saturday.

As this is our first time to be there, we ordered Fillet Mignon, Pasta Al Funghi, 4 kinds of Mushroom. The first thing that was served is bread and butter. They made the bread itself. It's soft and flavorful. Next on our plate is the 4 kinds of mushroom soup. It is my first time to have seen a restaurant pouring the soup in a bowl in front of me. It's so amazing. An A+ for that kind of presentation! The soup is creamy and salty, and rich. For our main dish, we ordered Pasta Al Funghi and Fillet Minion. If you are a mushroom lover you would definitely order Pasta Al Funghi. It has a soft boiled egg on top, its oil based too. Did you know that they make their own pasta? Gosh its Al Dente! It is the best way to cook pasta! Lastly, Fillet Mignon, steak is tender. Medium well is perfect for the steak. Side dishes are added, mashed potato and buttered steamed veggies. Sumptuous meal! We will definitely go back.

I hope they branch out soon. It's expensive but not too expensive :)

" Comfort food with a twist"

Running a restaurant is tough, but there are a few that succeed by running on passion, perseverance, and a knack for knowing what their customers want. One such restaurant is Torch.

Branches :

  • Greenhills, Connecticut
  • UP Town Center
  • Trinoma Mall
  • Greenbelt 5
  • Circuit

Another favorite restaurant of mine is Torch. When you go there be sure you're not so hungry as you will have to wait for 15-20 minutes before you will be seated especially during lunch and dinner. The following are my favorites :
  •  Salpicao Medallion

You can choose your sides, whether its mashed potato or plain rice. It's better if you tell them to cook it medium rare for it to be tender and soft. I really love the steak! It's good for sharing. Me and my mom half the steak and my dad gets a piece. Whenever I eat this particular food it feels like heaven.
  • Philly Cheese Steak Pizza

This is the best pizza I have ever tasted!! The crust is thin, crunchy and flavorful. The cheese in it is very generous. I really love pizza with lots of cheese! A must try for everyone when they eat at Torch.

  • Tartufo Pasta

A creamy truffle mushroom pasta in fettucine. Since me and my family love cream based pasta, we enjoy this pasta of Torch. It's rich and creamy. You can really taste the truffle in it. Truffle and mushroom has a strong flavor but since they are combined, the strong flavor balances out the pasta.

The best comfort food for a weekend night out!!

In 1996 they opened their first branch in San Angel, Mexico City. On the same year they also opened Italianni's in the Philippines, located in Makati City.
Carlson sold Italliani's brand to Remigio S. de R.L in 2002

I and my whole family are pasta lovers and there is no doubt that if we are craving for pasta dishes, it's always at Italianni's .

In fact we went to Trinoma last week. We celebrated my uncle's birthday at Italliani's.

When we went there they have a promo which we have tried, called "THE ULTIMATE RIB PLATTER". It comes with 3 side dishes, we chose the House Salad, Spaghetti Aglio Olio, and Mashed potato. At P995.00 this meal is a good buy. Pork ribs are flavorful and tender. Its serving size is good for 3-4 persons. Of course, we ordered our favorite salad, "Sicillian Salad with chicken" family size because we are 11 at that time. My cousin and his girlfriend arrived a little bit late so we ordered another one, the lunch size. I noticed that the difference of the lunch and family size is just so little. So i think ordering for 2 lunch size is more practical than ordering the family size. It's just the plate that is a lot bigger but in terms of serving size, there's not much of a difference.

For our main dishes, we ordered Grilled Porkchop Au Poure, Truffle Chicken and Mushroom Pasta, and Seafood Cioppino

This restaurant will always be one of my favorite! So, pasta lovers you know where to go!

Did you know that, Tim Ho Wan is actually a Cantonese word for "good luck".

The owner of this restaurant is Mak Kwai Pu. He established this restaurant in Hong Kong after he left his job in Lee King Heen restaurant, one of the popular restaurants in HK.Despite the international fame of this restaurant, only two cities where you can find Tim Ho Wan outside Hong Kong is Manila and Singapore.
Branches :
  • Upper Ground Floor, Glorietta 3, Ayala Center, Makati, 1224 Metro Manila
  • GF, mm- , Mall of Asia , Pacific Drive , 1300 Pasay City , Metro Manila
  •  L1 , SM Megamall , EDSA Corner J.Vargas Avenue , 1550 Mandaluyong City , Metro Manila
  • Upper Ground Level, SM North EDSA, North Ave, Quezon City, 1100 Metro Manila

My mom and I love to eat out for lunch during weekdays. In one of our lunch dates, we saw this restaurant, Tim Ho Wan in Glorietta full of customers and there's even a long line outside waiting to be seated. We got curious and fall in line. Its a good thing the turnover is fast and we were seated after waiting for 10 minutes. The restaurant offers different kinds of dimsum dishes. I saw almost all tables ordered this siopao looking bread, it's called "Baked Pork Bun". 1 order has only 3pcs. We also ordered our favorites, "Hakaw" 4pcs , "Beancurd skin w/ pork shrimp" 3pcs. You can check the picture above for the prices.

We will definitely go back here. The Baked Pork Bun tasted heavenly. The dough is sweet and its texture is quite hard on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The meat is very tender. It's a MUST TRY!! The Hakaw and Siomai is very juicy and fresh and the Beancurd skin w/ Pork & Shrimp is so flavorful!!
